About the engagement
What does a full engagement include?
Every engagement covers all six disciplines: intake and spec, positioning, target company research, outreach materials, process management, and interview/negotiation support. We don’t offer these à la carte — the value comes from the whole system working together.
How long does an engagement typically last?
Most clients land within 60–90 days of starting active outreach. The full engagement — from intake through offer acceptance — typically runs 3–5 months. Process management support continues until you start your new role.
How many clients do you work with at once?
We cap active engagements at 4–6 at a time. This is intentional — we’re not a coaching platform, we’re a retained service. You get our actual attention, not a cohort experience.
Do you work with people who are still employed?
Absolutely — most of our clients are. A confidential, proactive search run while you’re still employed is exactly the situation we’re built for. We’re experienced at managing timelines and discretion.
The market map
What exactly is in the target company list?
Typically 50–150 companies, filtered to your spec: industry, stage, geography, size, culture markers. For each company we identify the right decision-maker or connector, their contact info or LinkedIn profile, and a priority tier (warm intro possible, cold outreach, or monitor). It’s a proper research deliverable, not a spreadsheet of logos.
Can I commission just the market map?
We get this question often. Our answer is: not on its own — because a list without the positioning and outreach materials to activate it doesn’t produce the results people expect. That said, if you have a specific project need, reach out and we’ll have an honest conversation.
Fit and results
Who is this not right for?
We’re not a good fit for early-career professionals, entry-level roles, or anyone looking for a resume review service. We work best with senior professionals — VPs, directors, C-suite — who are ready to run a serious, resourced search and will engage with the process.
Do you guarantee placement?
No, and we’d be skeptical of anyone who does. What we guarantee is rigorous work on our end — a real market map, strong materials, and an active process. The search still requires your engagement and effort. We’ve found that combination produces results reliably.
What if my search stalls?
This is where the weekly cadence earns its value. If something isn’t working — response rates are low, interviews aren’t converting, comp conversations are stalling — we identify it quickly and adjust. Search strategy is an ongoing calibration, not a set-and-forget exercise.
